Dance Expressions was established in 1997, through the vision of Darlene Pallotta Jasion.  The studio was founded on the basic philosophy to teach the art and enjoyment of dance in a positive, friendly environment, to students of all ages and ability levels.  Over the years, we have provided high quality dance instruction to thousands of students. We enjoy watching the growth and development of our dancers from toddlers through high school graduation, and take pride in watching many of them move on to dance at a higher level. 

Dance Expressions is the fun place to dance!  That stems from the belief that learning dance at all levels should be an enjoyable experience, so our students can develop a life-long interest in the art of dance, no matter what their aspirations and ability levels are.  From the youngest student to the seasoned dancer, there is something for everyone.  Our goal is to help each student reach their individual potential, whether you visit us once a week for a recreational class, or several days each week for  more intensive training.  We appreciate each dancer’s unique capabilities, and strive to give each one the education and attention they deserve through our highly trained and caring staff.  Our students learn that mistakes are crucial to learning, and learning is the foundation for growth.    

At Dance Expressions, we believe that as instructors in a position to influence young people, it is our obligation to encourage them to explore all opportunities for developing their lives.  We encourage students to have time for school work, as well as participate in theater, sports, music lessons and school activities. Our program is adaptable, in that we allow for makeup classes, giving our students time to enjoy a well-rounded life.  Dance develops coordination, poise, body awareness and confidence, as well as being a wonderful form of exercise. This confidence carries over into other areas of school and life. While not everyone will become a prima ballerina or a Broadway tap dancer, everyone can learn to move to the music.  No one should be afraid to get on the dance floor at a school dance or a wedding.  Dance can be a part of your entire life!

We are home of award winning competition teams and our Driven to Dance performance troupe.  The troupe has danced in Disney World, on Carnival Cruise lines, Morey's Piers in Wildwood, the Philadelphia Thanksgiving Day Parade, Hershey Park, baseball games, the New Jersey Devils at the Prudential Center, Great Adventure, and various locations in Myrtle Beach including the Palace Theater, the Carolina Opry, and Broadway on the Beach.  We have also performed at many community events.  We perform so we can continue to learn and grow as dancers, give back to the community, and teach our students self-esteem and self- confidence on stage. 

Dance Expression graduates are performing in college repertory companies, dance teams, and musical theatre programs, as well as professionally at Disney World and various cruise lines as head dancers.
